Today, we’re focusing on another tricky sound pair in French: [ɛ] vs. [e] (like in lait vs. les).

Practice Sentences:

  • Il sait parler français. (He knows how to speak French.)

  • Est-ce que tu préfères le thé ou le café ? (Do you prefer tea or coffee?)

  • J’ai oublié mes lunettes sur la table de chevet. (I forgot my glasses on the bedside table.)

  • On s’est levés très tôt pour aller au marché. (We woke up very early to go to the market.)

  • Elle est née en février. (She was born in February.)

  • Répétez cette phrase après moi. (Repeat this sentence after me.)

  • Elles préfèrent porter des vêtements légers en été. (They prefer to wear light clothing in summer.)
