Welcome to Day 1 of the French Pronunciation Bootcamp!

Today, we’re focusing on one of the trickiest sound pairs in French: [u] vs. [y] (like in tout vs. tu).

Practice Sentences:

  • Est-ce que vous avez vu ma nouvelle jupe rouge ? (Did you see my new red skirt?)

  • Arthur joue souvent au foot après l’école. (Arthur often plays soccer after school.)

  • Il y a une voiture rouge garée dans la rue. (There is a red car parked in the street.)

  • As-tu tout prévu pour ton voyage en août ? (Have you planned everything for your trip in August?)

  • Nous avons bu toute la bouteille de vin rouge. (We drank the whole bottle of red wine.)

  • Zut, j’ai perdu mes boucles d’oreilles. (Damn, I lost my earrings!)

  • Elles trouvent toujours une solution. (They always find a solution.)

📌 Goal: Repeat each sentence at least 3 times until you feel comfortable.
